There is nothing very special food that is called junk food. Junk food is a slang word used commonly for food that is low in or lack of nutritional values. Foods that are very rich in sugars, fats and high calorie foods with very less or no fruits and vegetables make up the junk food. Examples of junk foods include eating more sweets, sugar cakes, chocolates, candies, gums, fried fast foods, high salted fried chips, fries, high calorie fat chicken and meat.
 

 

How to make best out of junk food?

 
Most of us like to enjoy foods from various junk food sources. It is good idea to try them. But trying various foods that are low in nutritional values should not become the habit of eating frequently to fill up stomach and cover the calories.
  • Try these steps to make best out of junk food
  • List out your favorite foods that are considered junk
  • Check the frequency of eating them
  • Find the total calories you are getting from them
  • Say yourself that you are going to eat them only once in a week or in a month
  • Try only one item and change the item next time to cover all kinds you like
  • Remember always that taking foods without fruits and vegetables will have very less nutritional value
  • Remember eating foods only from junk foods lead to malnutrition

Eating only junk food leads to malnutrition. A person gets malnutrition when he takes inadequate amounts of nutritious foods. Eating foods from various sources with high consumption of fruits and vegetables is the best way to prevent malnutrition. A person with malnutrition is vulnerable to many health problems and diseases
